Experience
Represented a major logistics and ore transportation company whose contract had been wrongfully terminated by a supplier due to business impacts caused, at the time, by the slowdown of the Chinese economy. We successfully demonstrated to the court that the termination caused substantial losses and damages given the investments required to perform the agreement. Following our work and the filing of a collection action, within six months of the lawsuit being filed, the parties reached a settlement in which our client received 80% of the claimed amount, which at the time totaled approximately BRL 10 million.
Handled litigation against the public administration arising from a breach of a service agreement in the information technology sector. Assisted in the sale of a court-ordered government debt instrument (precatório) belonging to a major technology client to an investment bank. The amount involved was BRL 40 million, with the client receiving approximately BRL 30 million through our analysis and advisory services for the transaction.
Filed a collection action combined with the repossession of approximately one thousand vehicles owned by a client operating in the fleet outsourcing sector, due to breach of contract. After the lawsuit was filed, and through our persuasive credit recovery strategy, the debtor entered into a settlement agreement providing for full payment of the debt in three monthly installments, involving an amount of approximately BRL 10 million.
