This background has enabled her to gain firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by clients, as well as the expectations and needs they seek to address through their partner law firms.
With a practice focused on strategic matters involving Labor Unions and the Labor Prosecutor’s Office, Paula also has extensive experience in the creation and implementation of variable compensation and executive compensation policies, profit-sharing plans, benefit policies, occupational health and safety matters, employment agreements, and service agreements. She is the author of the book “Arbitration in Individual Labor Disputes”, in addition to numerous articles and publications featured in legal media and general publications.
Experience
Advised a client in the communications and telecommunications sector on the structuring of settlement policies and direct action aimed at reducing labor liabilities and contingencies, resulting in estimated savings of approximately BRL 15,000,000.00 in a single fiscal year.
Advised a pharmaceutical industry client in the drafting and negotiation of a collective bargaining agreement governing remote work and home office arrangements within the pharmaceutical sector, providing greater legal certainty for the represented category.
Advised a client in the beverage industry in a civil investigation and subsequent public civil action involving occupational health and safety issues arising from a workplace accident at the factory that caused severe burn injuries to two employees. The outcome was the dismissal of the public civil action, including the rejection of the collective moral damages claim in the amount of BRL 2,000,000.00, as well as the obligations to perform and refrain from certain acts.
