The guide “How to do business” is published by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Brazil since 2010 and it has the purpose of improving the understandings of Brazilian regulations and legislation that are necessary to make investments in Brazil.

This year the Spanish Chamber of Commerce has launched a new proposal for the project that begun in March 2018. In addition to the usual disclosure of press materials and communication channels of the Chamber, the guide “How to do business” will have a launch event that will take place in Spain.

In the 2018 edition, two publications that address different subjects were produced to promote specific characteristics of Brazilian legislation and other relevant aspects to help foreign investors understand the whole environment in which they will make their decisions.

Our law firm took part of the project by drafting two chapters of the guide: “Labor Law – Procedural Aspects” and “Labor Law – Individual Rights” – both produced in the Brazilian and Spanish versions. The drafting of the chapters had the participation of the founding partners of our law firm João Paulo Fogaça de Almeida Fagundes and Ronaldo Rayes, as well as the participation of the partner of the labor and employment area of the firm, Paula Corina Santone Carajelescov.

The launch of the guide will take place in three different cities in Spain – Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia – and will occur on the following and respectively dates 6/26, 6/28 and 6/29. In addition to that, an event regarding the new Brazilian Labor Law 13,467/2017 (known as “Labor Reform”) is planned to happen on the second half of 2018 in Brazil and will be sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce.
